At SILQ we continuously make changes and updates to our software with the aim of improving your experience.

In January 2024 we've released some updates with the aim of getting things done faster and with easier access:

Here is what has changed:

1. Activities have been renamed to Fixed Fees

2. Barristers now have an option to add Clerk rates under system settings which then gets calculated within the receive money window according to the % being entered.

3. There have been 3 new fields added to the Estates window:

     a. Date of Estate Tax Return

     b. Estate Tax Return Completed

     c. Estate tax Return Status

4. In the Matter Trust Window you are now able to add Trust Receipts, Withdrawals, Transfers and Reversals.

5. The Signatures section of SILQ has been updated so that it is now much easier to copy and paste your signature direct into SILQ. The benefit of doing this is that you are able to email generated documents, invoices etc direct from SILQ using templates that make the sending and filing of these emails very quick.

6. The way you enter currency into SILQ has changed, please watch this video below.

7. Deliverables can now be toggled to be active or inactive - this helps when you have a number of deliverables for a matter that is still active, but certain deliverables are no longer relevant as it makes searching for the relevant deliverable quicker.

8. You can now add the bank details of a contact within the contact window. These details are then able to be automatically filled in within the Trust Window.

What else has been updated?

With each release we fix any small bugs that are brought to our attention and numerous general usability improvements.

If you have any questions around these updates you are welcome to get in contact with us and we can walk you through those aspects relevant to you.
