My Firm already has documents in a NetDocuments cabinet - how do we link the workspaces to the relevant matters in SILQ?

Once the integration is connected, SILQ will automatically save documents to new matters - however, if you have workspaces for existing matters they will need to be linked to SILQ first

Once the integration is connected, SILQ will automatically save documents to newly created matters. For existing matters with pre-established NetDocuments workspaces, those cabinets will need to be manually linked to the equivalent SILQ matter before use.

There are two ways to do this.

Large scale

If you have a large number of active matters with corresponding workspaces in NetDocuments, please contact support and we can match these en masse for you.

Individually

  1. From the matters window in SILQ, find the matter you would like to match to the corresponding workspace in NetDocuments and highlight it
  2. Click on the edit matter button in the ribbon
  3. Navigate to the other tab
  4. Find the NetDocuments Workspace ID field and update it with the ID from NetDocuments which can be found in the URL of the workspace - see the second screenshot below

  5. Click on update and they will now be linked so any new documents generated from SILQ in this existing matter will automatically be saved to the relevant workspace in NetDocuments
