How to Link an Account
SILQ automatically posts certain types of transactions to particular accounts, however SILQ needs to know which accounts they are - meaning they have to be linked.
(if any accounts say missing, this should be a red flag for you, so please ensure that is corrected)In order to be able to posts certain transactions, SILQ needs to know which accounts they need to be assigned to.
An easy example is that of a Write Off.
All Write off's are posted to the bad debts account, however in order to do so the bad debts account needs to be linked. SILQ has this account linked as a default when you first sign up to SILQ, however if you find yourself in a position where this (or something similar) is saying that the account cannot be found, you will need to follow the below steps:
1. Navigate to the top right hand corner where your name/Initials are
2. From the dropdown, click on system settings
3. Navigate to the accounts tab
4. find the account that you need to link and highlight it
If any accounts say missing, this should be a red flag for you, so please ensure that is corrected.
5. Click on edit and select the account from chart of accounts that you would like to set
