How does the SILQPay integration work?
SILQPay gives your clients the option to pay invoices online via a secure payment link, streamlining collections and reducing delays. Those payments are then automatically receipted in SILQ.
SILQPay is SILQ’s integrated payment gateway that allows your clients to pay invoices online via secure payment links. It’s designed to help your practice get paid faster, reduce administration, and provide a seamless payment experience directly from SILQ-generated invoices.
Powered by Pin Payments, SILQPay is PCI DSS compliant and uses bank-grade encryption, ensuring that all payment information is handled securely and in line with Australian financial regulations.

How to Set Up SILQPay
Setting up SILQPay is quick and typically takes 1–2 business days for approval.
Step 1: Apply for SILQPay
Complete the application form via Pin Payments: https://pinpayments.com/get-started/silq
You’ll need to provide:

Contact information

Company details (including ABN)

Business information

Website URL

Bank account details (for settlement)

Director identity verification (e.g. driver's licence)
Step 2: Verification
Pin Payments will verify your business and identity. Once approved, you’ll receive access to your own Pin Payments dashboard.
Step 3: Retrieve Your API Key

Log into your Pin Payments account

Copy your Live Secret API Key
Step 4: Connect to SILQ

Log into SILQ
-
Navigate to System Settings

Go to Integrations > SILQPay
-
Paste your Live Secret API Key into the Payment API Key field - (red box below)
- Choose who pays the fee - You can decide to absorb the fee or you can pass the fee onto the client (see the blue box in above image)
- You can add a description to the link that will be displayed on the email to the client - (see the purple box in above image) for example - Please click on this link to pay your invoice online
- The checkboxes highlighted in green above give you options in how you would like your invoice to display when the client clicks on the link. Only tick those that are relevant to your practice, however we suggest at a minimum the invoice details option is checked

How to add SILQPay as a payment option in your invoice
This will only work if you are using our SILQ internal invoice template. If your invoice template is currently a word document, please call the support desk or refer to this article to update it.
To access the invoice template settings:
- In the top right hand corner, click on the dropdown and click on system settings.
- On the left hand side, under Templates, click on Invoice Templates
- Click on Edit to edit the default template (If you would like to create a new template, click on new)
- You will be presented with the following window:
- Scroll down to the remittance section and expand it
- Find the option that says - Show Credit Card Option and toggle this on
- Press update
- SILQ will now automatically show this on the invoice in the remittance section. See below what it will look like:
How SILQPay Works in Practice -
- Use the above steps to ensure it is connected and your invoice template will include SILQpay as a payment option.
- Generate an invoice you would like to send to a client.
- When reviewing the invoice, you should see the XXXXX
- When a client clicks the payment link, they’ll be taken to a secure payment page branded with your practice’s details.
- The link will be specific to that invoice only and will be unique each time it is generated for different invoices.
- They will have the option to pay via Mastercard, VISA, AMEX and International Credit Cards.
- Payments are processed in real time and settled to your nominated bank account within 2 business days, automatically.
- Once paid, SILQ receives a notification that it is paid and automatically creates a receipt for that payment, marking it as paid in SILQ - meaning there is no manually entry required!
