How does the Last Time Entered report work?

This report provides a clear overview of all fee earners and the date of their most recent time entry — helping you monitor time recording activity and ensure consistent time capture across your firm.

The Last Time Entered report gives you a quick overview of each fee earner’s most recent time entry. This helps you monitor time recording habits across your team and ensure time entries are being logged consistently and in a timely manner.

Why Use This Report?

  • Monitor time capture habits: Quickly identify which users are regularly recording time and who may need a reminder.
  • Improve billing accuracy: Ensure time entries are recorded in real time to reduce missed billing opportunities.
  • Support time management reviews: Use this report to encourage consistency and accountability across the team.
  • Prepare for end-of-month: Make sure time entries are up to date before running billing cycles or reports.

Prior to generating the report you are able to customise the way the information is presented to you via the following options:

  1. Select Sort Order -  You are able to sort by:
    1. Name - alphabetical order of the names of all fee earners.
    2. User Id - alphabetical order using the fee earner Id.
    3. Last time entry - this will sort it by date.
  2. Show Fee Earners with zero rates - if this box is ticked, it will also show fee earners where no time entries have been entered, and will be sorted based on the selection above.

Once the report is generated, it will look like the below image:
