How do you split a time entry?

Splitting a time entry is helpful when a single piece of work relates to multiple matters/clients. This allows you to accurately allocate portions of the time to each relevant matter, ensuring proper billing and record-keeping.

There may be times when a single time entry needs to be divided between two or more matters — for example, if you attended a meeting that involved multiple clients/matters or prepared a document that applied to more than one matter. Rather than duplicating the entry manually, SILQ allows you to split it directly, making it easy to ensure time is accurately recorded against each matter involved.

This can be especially useful in mediation matters, representative proceedings, when representing a body corporate amongst other things.
