Finding matters with unbilled amounts to invoice
Finding matters with billable amounts to invoice is very easy to see in SILQ. You can do this one of 2 ways.
SILQ can provide you with an organized overview of all the matters that have unbilled WIP (or not yet invoiced, billable) amounts.
You can do this in one of 2 ways.
Bulk Invoicing is only available to users on the Expert billing plan. More information on SILQ's pricing plans can be found here for Solicitors or here for Barristers. The other two ways of viewing this information is included in both the Essentials and Expand plans.
Bulk Invoicing Window
The quickest way to do this is through our Bulk Invoicing feature.
The bulk invoicing window can be found within the invoicing window. As you can see from the screenshot below, there is a tab within the view section of the ribbon called Bulk Invoices.
This view will only show you each matter that has any unbilled work in progress (WIP) or any unbilled disbursements and displays these on a separate row.
This window goes one step further to give you the option to choose the invoice up to date. This means that if it is the 5th of May, but you only want to see matters that had unbilled work up to the 30th of April, you could input this date and the screen will display information as it would have been as at the 30th of April (i.e. will not show any WIP input after that date).
Matters Window
The other way to see this that is available on all of our plans, is through the matters window.
On the matters window, there is a column that will show you unbilled amounts either inc or ex GST.
You will need to ensure that you have the field showing which you can do using field configuration.
Once the field is visible in the matters window, you are able to click the top of the column to sort it from highest to lowest. Any matters that have nothing in the unbilled column are matters that have no unbilled WIP and can be ignored in this context.
